National Forests in the Area

Nephi is situated near Uinta and Manti-LaSal National Forests. Travelers from all over the state come to take advantage of the hundreds of recreational activities possible in the grand wilderness. These activities include birdwatching, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, hunting, skiing, camping, and the list goes on and on. The Uinta (now combined with Wasatch-Cache National Forest and managed as the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest) is one of the most frequented wilderness areas in the nation. The Manti-LaSal National Forest around Nephi contains many canyons and mountains and stretches toward Moab and Arches National park.
