History
The Nephi Public library has been serving the Nephi and surrounding areas since June 6, 1919. The original library was housed in the Nephi Court House located at what is now the Daughters of the Utah Pioneer’s current location on the top floor, it consisted of two rooms and contained at opening 3,000 items.
The library was then moved on August 4, 1980, to its current location at City Hall, at the time 7,500 books were moved. Since then our library has added more materials, more services, and serving more surrounding areas than before.
Services
Today, the library is located at the Nephi City Offices and offers more than 20,000 items for check-out and use. It has been a longstanding desire of the library, its staff past and present and local leaders to offer an unsurpassed library to the community; we simply can’t wait to help you find something great!
