General Fund Revenues

Taxes and Dividend Transfers are the main sources of revenue for the General Fund.  These revenues go toward the direct and indirect services that the city provides to citizens.    Overall, new growth has provided modest growth in property and sales taxes.  Franchise fees continue to decline as non-taxable services and technology replace existing telephone and cable infrastructure.  In fiscal year 2018, the City Council enacted a Transient Room Tax that will take effect at the beginning of fiscal year 2019.  It is expected to generate approximately $25,000 in additional General Fund Revenues.
