Nephi Recreation received a grant to paint “blended” or “10 years and under” lines on two of the high school's four existing tennis courts. Through this grant, Nephi Recreation obtained $600 in funding from the United States Tennis Association's National Grant Application, and $600 in funding from the USTA’s regional chapter in Utah.
The new lines will help make some of the department’s courts more kid-friendly in size, which will help improve instruction and learning for the sport. Blended lines are also helpful for players with limited mobility, such as senior citizens or those with mental or physical handicaps.
